Kennebunk Portside Rotary – Day of Caring June 2010
Portside Rotary participated in United Way’s York County “Day of Caring”, in a full day of work at the YMCA in Biddeford. There were over 80 volunteers in all at the YMCA tackling a variety of jobs all around the grounds of the Y. Volunteers from Portside Rotary, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, UNUM, Edward Jones and more showed up to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. A group of Portside Rotarian worked on the outside pavilion cleaning up the grounds and positioning outside seating, then moved onto the mulch pile to shovel chips into the playground area and worked on cutting up the brush pile. A wonderful day at the “Y” with so many helping hands.
